Well, what can I say hockey fans, after a hard fought win Saturday vs Buffalo, in where Artemi Panarin
scored the game winner , on a Ranger PPG, in Overtime. Ranger fans went berserk, getting those 2
points after falling behind. Today, in Pittsburgh, the Rangers and Artemi Panarin, had a role reversal
when the Breadman “tripped” Malkin, setting up a PPG for the Penguins in their 3-2 loss Sunday…….
I saw a lot of good defensive play in both the win and loss this weekend. If 5 goal totals are in the
future as the playoffs start soon, I like the Rangers chances in every tight game. The Sabres game was
disjointed, players played conservatively, Kane is still feeling out what to do on the ice, Igor stole that
game for the NYR. In Pittsburgh, the Rangers spent the 1st 10 minutes of the game killing power play
after power play until Pitt scored on a 5 on 3, to make it 1-0. So let me get this straight, is Crosby,
Malkin and Letangs last dance…….ya think Bettman wants the Pens on the outside looking in?
Rhetorical question. There seemed to be a disparity that was obvious to all, but the Rangers do not quit
and they tied it up on a workman like goal by Barclay Goodrow, on a nice feed from Jimmy Vesey. That line of Motte, Vesey, Goodrow was fast, gritty, and play making. They were by far the best line in the OZone AND D-Zone! Playoff hockey ready with 16 games til. Jaro played excellently and did not deserve
the L, shit happens and the team with 5 power plays to 2, usually come out with the W, especially in O.T.
Its not sour grapes, just true…..
When the game was allowed to be played physical, on both ends, Trouba did his Truckin, like the
DooDa Man, Trocheck and Malkin got into some big collisions, Tarasenko was blasting folks, too. Let
the players play, and when they did, both teams came alive and the hockey was outstanding!! The last
Malkin/Trocheck run in, led to a 3 on 2 NYR breakout with Trocheck, Kane, and the flying Chris Kreider,
where Big Goal Chris tied it 2-2 late in the 3rd, letting the Pen fans know it. As a Ranger die hard, I will
take the point, that’s 5 out of 6 points where we led ZERO times in regulation.
To Coach Gallant: STOP MESSING WITH THE DAMN LINES ON THE FLY!!!!
1. Hey , teacher , leave them Kids alone! Let Chytil, Laf, and Kaako continue to do their thing. When
Lindgren returns, Fox can go back to being able to shift with them, which seems to work for all of them,
knowing Fox is on the ice with them allows the Kids to play their game.
